Who can take part
- You must be an adult male.
- You must have been diagnosed with prostate cancer through a biopsy or other tissue test.
- You need the scan to either find out if the cancer has spread (staging) or to check if it has come back (restaging).
- Your doctor must have ordered a PSMA PET scan as part of your cancer care.
- You cannot have any medical condition that makes it unsafe to lie still for the PET scan.
- You must not have a known severe allergy to iodine contrast dye, and your kidney function must be good enough (creatinine level no higher than 2 mg/dL).
