Comparing two scans to find liver cancer early

This trial compares two types of imaging scans (CEUS and AMRI) to see which one is better at finding liver cancer (HCC) in patients who have an unclear spot on their liver (an indeterminate nodule). It is for people with cirrhosis who have at least one such nodule but no confirmed liver cancer yet.

Who can take part

  • You have cirrhosis that is classified as Child class A or B (a measure of liver function).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have at least one liver nodule that could not be diagnosed as cancer after standard scans (CT, MRI, or ultrasound with contrast).
  • You do not have liver cancer (HCC) or other types of liver cancer at the start of the study.
  • You have not had a liver transplant and do not have another active cancer outside the liver.
