Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have been newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for the first time (not a relapse or on top of another blood disorder).
  • You are feeling well enough to do most daily activities on your own (ECOG score 0-2).
  • Your doctor plans to give you standard strong chemotherapy (like 7+3 or HiDAC).
  • You do not have a rare subtype called acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL).
