Brain stimulation study for cocaine addiction

Cocaine Dependence

Who can take part

  • You are currently addicted to cocaine (crack or powder) and have used it at least 3 times a week for the past year.
  • You have not had a long period of abstinence (more than 12 months) from cocaine in the last year.
  • You have completed at least primary school.
  • You do not have a personal or family history of seizures, epilepsy, brain injury, or other neurological conditions.
  • You are not addicted to any drug other than alcohol, tobacco, or marijuana.
  • You do not have any serious heart condition or a history of stroke or heart attack.
