Who can take part
- You are 70 years or older for one group, or 18+ and unable or unwilling to have surgery for another group.
- You have a type of colorectal cancer that is mismatch repair deficient (dMMR) or microsatellite unstable (MSI-H), which means it has trouble fixing DNA errors.
- You have not had any prior chemotherapy, radiation, or other cancer treatments for this condition.
- You are willing to have regular check-ups with endoscopy and CT scans for 2 years, and to have a tumor biopsy.
- Your heart function is good enough, with an ejection fraction of 45% or more, and you are not using home oxygen or have low oxygen levels.
