Who can take part
- Your macular hole must be small — 250 microns or smaller (about the width of a human hair).
- The hole must have appeared within the last year (12 months or less).
- You cannot have had any prior eye surgery on the inside of the affected eye.
- Your macular hole must not be caused by severe nearsightedness (more than -6 diopters), injury, retinal detachment, or other eye conditions.
