New glasses for slowing myopia in children

This study is testing the safety and comfort of new glasses with special lenses designed to slow down nearsightedness in children. It compares differences between the new lenses and regular lenses, and the child will wear them for a period of time to see how they feel and if there are any concerns.

Who can take part

  • Child must be between 6 and 14 years old.
  • Their nearsightedness (after eye drops that relax the focusing muscle) must be between 0.00 and -4.00 diopters, with astigmatism no more than 1.50 diopters and the difference between eyes less than 1.50 diopters.
  • They must not have used other myopia treatments (like special contact lenses, glasses, or eye drops) in the past 30 days.
  • Parent or guardian must sign a consent form agreeing to the study.
