Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (a common type of pancreatic cancer).
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are in generally good health (able to care for yourself, up and about more than 50% of waking hours).
- Your liver, kidney, and blood counts are within acceptable ranges as determined by tests.
- The cancer has not spread to distant organs or the brain.
- You have no other serious heart, HIV, or mental health conditions that would interfere.
- You are willing to take herbal medicines (astragalus) and follow the treatment schedule.
- If you are able to have children, you agree to use effective contraception during treatment and for 12 weeks after.
