Who can take part

  • Your child was younger than 6 years old when the thigh bone broke.
  • The break was in the main part of the thigh bone (femur) and only on one side.
  • Your child was treated with skin traction (a gentle pull using tape or a belt) in a straight-up position.
  • Your child did not have any other broken bones at the same time.
  • The fracture was not caused by a disease (like a bone tumor).
  • Your child had never broken a leg bone before this injury.
