Lower Limb Length Discrepancy (LLD) in Children

Who can take part

  • Your child is between 10 and 15 years old.
  • Your child has a leg length difference of more than 5 millimeters (about the width of a pencil eraser), measured by a doctor.
  • Your child's orthopedic doctor has recommended an EOS image as part of their regular care.
  • Your child can stand still without help for 30 seconds.
  • You have health coverage from social security.
  • You and your child agree to take part in the study.
  • Your child has not had major pelvic or spinal surgery before.
  • Your child does not have a severe condition that makes standing difficult, like cerebral palsy or progressive muscle weakness.
  • Your child does not have a fixed tightness in the ankle that stops them from putting their foot flat on the ground.
  • Your child does not have a major leg deformity like severe knock-knees or bowlegs.
  • Your child can safely have an EOS image done.
