This trial tests a combination of an investigational viral therapy (VO) and the immunotherapy nivolumab for people with advanced melanoma that has stopped responding to previous anti-PD-1 and anti-CTLA-4 treatments. The goal is to see if this combination works better than other standard treatments your doctor might choose.

Who can take part
- You are 12 years or older.
- You have advanced melanoma (stage IIIb to IV) that cannot be removed by surgery or has spread to other parts of your body.
- Your melanoma has gotten worse after treatment with both an anti-PD-1 drug (like nivolumab or pembrolizumab) and an anti-CTLA-4 drug (like ipilimumab), given together or one after the other.
- You have had either a BRAF test or are willing to have one; if you have a BRAF mutation, you should have already tried a BRAF-targeted therapy unless your doctor says it's not right for you.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured (1 cm or larger) and at least one tumor that can be injected with the study virus.
- Your blood counts, liver, and kidney function are within certain limits (your doctor will test this).
