Who can take part
- You experience stool leakage (fecal incontinence) at least 4 times in the last 2 weeks, OR you have constipation with fewer than 3 complete bowel movements per week or hard stools (Bristol 1 or 2) more than 25% of the time.
- You can follow instructions and come to study visits.
- You do not have digestive diseases like inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, or a stomach ulcer.
- You do not have a neurological condition (e.g., spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease).
- You have no active colon or rectal cancer, rectal fistula, rectal prolapse, or history of total colectomy.
- You have not had radiation to the pelvic area in the last month.
