Study of resistance to breast cancer therapies

This study looks at why some breast cancers stop responding to treatment. It involves taking a small sample of your tumor (biopsy) and blood to understand resistance. If you have HER2-positive or triple-negative breast cancer that is growing despite treatment, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You have either HER2-positive and hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, or triple-negative breast cancer.
  • You are willing to have a biopsy (tissue sample) taken and a blood draw for the study.
  • Your tumor is growing or a new tumor appeared while you were on your last breast cancer treatment.
  • You stopped your last breast cancer treatment no more than 4 weeks ago.
  • The growing tumor must be in a place that can be safely biopsied (not in the bone).
  • You must not have started any new cancer treatment since stopping the last one.
