Who can take part
- You are 18 to 99 years old.
- You have a kidney tumor that is 3 cm (about 1.2 inches) or smaller and has not spread outside the kidney.
- Your tumor can be treated with either surgery or ablation (a procedure that destroys the tumor with heat or cold).
- A biopsy has confirmed the tumor is cancer and is not the most aggressive type (ISUP grade 1, 2, or 3).
- You have no other cancer that has spread in the last 5 years, and no other tumors in the same kidney.
