Botulinum toxin for light sensitivity after brain injury

This study tests if botulinum toxin type A (Botox) can reduce long-term light sensitivity in people who have had a traumatic brain injury at least a year ago. You must have had light sensitivity for 6 months or more and not have had Botox for face or mouth conditions before.

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have had a traumatic brain injury more than a year ago
  • You have had bothersome light sensitivity (rated 4 or higher on a 0–10 scale) for at least 6 months
  • Your medications have been stable for the past 3 months
  • You have never had Botox injections for face or mouth problems
  • You speak English as your primary language
