Who can take part

  • The child must be between 2 and 14 years old (girls) or 2 and 16 years old (boys).
  • The child's height must be very short (more than 2.25 standard deviations below average for their age and sex).
  • The child can either have never received growth hormone treatment or be currently receiving it.
  • A growth hormone stimulation test must have shown a level greater than 10 micrograms per liter.
  • Parents or guardians must agree to sign a consent form.
