Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have a type of bladder cancer called high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, mostly made of transitional cells (the most common bladder cell type).
  • Your cancer did not respond to BCG treatment (it came back or got worse), and you either cannot have or have chosen not to have your bladder removed.
  • You have carcinoma in situ (a flat, high-grade spot on the bladder lining), with or without other high-grade tumors (Ta or T1).
  • You are in fairly good health (able to do daily activities with little help) and have normal organ function.
  • You have not had radiation to the pelvic area in the last 5 years, and you are not currently on chemotherapy for bladder cancer.
