Who can take part

  • You must be scheduled for a standard ultrasound exam of your liver.
  • You must sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
  • You cannot have had a liver biopsy or similar small procedure on your liver in the last 2 weeks.
  • You cannot have had a contrast-enhanced ultrasound within the past 24 hours.
  • You cannot have had major liver surgery, such as a partial liver removal.
