Who can take part

  • You are an adult age 18 or older.
  • You are already planning an endoscopic ultrasound (an endoscopy with ultrasound) that will be followed by a liver biopsy.
  • You have suspected or confirmed non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (fatty liver not caused by alcohol).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 25 or higher.
  • Your next liver biopsy sample can be adequate (enough quality) for testing.
