Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have at least one colon polyp that is larger than 5mm and located in the lower part of your colon (descending colon, sigmoid colon, or rectum).
  • The polyp is considered low risk (types that are not cancerous).
  • You are in fairly good health and able to understand the study and give your own consent.
  • You do not have a complex polyp (too large, flat, in a difficult location, or involving a large area).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding and have no other serious colon problems like many polyps, inflamed colon, or a stent.
