- You are planning to have surgery to remove the main tumor at the University of Chicago Medicine, and the surgery is at least 21 days away.
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You do not have a colostomy or ileostomy (a bag outside your body for waste) and are not planning to get one during this surgery.
- You have not taken antibiotics for an infection in the last 60 days, and you have not taken probiotics or prebiotics (like supplements or certain yogurts) in the last 60 days.
- You are willing to follow a special diet before surgery, collect stool samples, donate blood, and fill out surveys.
