Who can take part
- You must be between 55 and 99 years old.
- You need to have a specific type of advanced dry AMD called geographic atrophy, where there is a patch of damage at least 250 microns wide in the retina.
- You cannot have had any eye surgery in the past 3 months.
- You cannot have taken anti-VEGF injections (like Eylea or Lucentis) in the study eye before the trial starts.
- You must not have other eye conditions that require treatment during the study, such as uncontrolled glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, or active leaky blood vessels (neovascular AMD).
- Your vision should not be severely affected by other problems like dense cataracts or scars on the cornea.
