Who can take part

  • You received your first liver transplant from a deceased donor and it was less than 4 weeks ago.
  • You do not have any other transplanted organs, and you have not had a colon resection.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and you agree to use effective birth control if needed.
  • You are not taking certain medications that could interfere with the study drugs (like HIV or hepatitis C protease inhibitors).
  • You are able to understand the study and give your written consent.
