  • You are over 18 years old and do not smoke.
  • You have high blood pressure, but it is not severe or uncontrolled.
  • You are generally healthy (no serious illness or weakened immune system).
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to become pregnant.
  • You are not allergic to any foods and are not overly sensitive to spicy foods or fiber supplements.
  • You do not have frequent heartburn, stomach ulcers, or trouble swallowing pills.
