Capsimax and Weightlifting Performance Study

This study looks at how a capsaicin-based supplement (Capsimax) affects weightlifting performance, muscle oxygen, and reaction time. You'll complete squat exercises and have measurements taken before and after taking the supplement.

Who can take part

  • Male, ages 18 to 35.
  • BMI between 18.5 and 29.9.
  • At least one year of weightlifting experience (2 days a week or more).
  • You can safely perform a barbell back squat.
  • No chronic health conditions, and not taking any medications or supplements that could interfere.
