Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older and your cancer is advanced (spread or too large to remove) and has grown after standard treatments, or you couldn't handle those treatments.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan (like a CT or MRI).
- You are generally in good health (able to take care of yourself) and expected to live at least 3 more months.
- Your blood counts, liver, kidney, and heart function need to be within a certain range—your doctor will check this.
- You have not had cancer that spread to the brain or spinal cord (unless it's been treated, stable for at least 4 weeks, and you no longer need steroids).
- You have not had a certain type of lung disease, serious heart problems, or certain infections (like HIV or active hepatitis B or C).
