Who can take part
- You are an adult in the intensive care unit (ICU).
- You have stage 3 acute kidney injury and need dialysis.
- You have at least one of: very acidic blood, very high urea, or fluid that can't be controlled.
- You have had little or no urine for 72 hours or longer.
- This is your first dialysis session and it started within 12 hours.
- You are not on chronic dialysis for permanent kidney failure.
