Who can take part

  • You have type 2 diabetes (not type 1 or a rare form).
  • Your average blood sugar (HbA1c) is 7.0% or higher and you are on stable diabetes medications.
  • If your HbA1c is between 6.0% and 6.9%, you can join as long as you are not using short-acting insulin.
  • You can read and speak English because the app is in English.
  • You are not pregnant, not using hydroxyurea, and do not have a current or past eating disorder.
  • You do not have a serious memory or mental health problem that would interfere with using the program.
