Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older with high-risk prostate cancer that has not spread to distant organs.
- You need to have prostate cancer tissue from a biopsy (done within the past year) that can be studied.
- You must be planning to have surgery to remove your prostate (radical prostatectomy).
- You must be in generally good health, able to walk and care for yourself, and have adequate blood counts and kidney/liver function.
- You cannot have any metal implants (like hip replacements or pacemakers) that would make an MRI unsafe.
- You cannot have had any previous treatment for prostate cancer (except certain hair-loss medications stopped at least 3 weeks ago).
