Esophageal temperature monitoring during heart ablation

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat that comes and goes).
  • You are scheduled for a first-time catheter ablation procedure to treat your atrial fibrillation (no prior ablation on the left side of your heart).
  • You do not have any stomach or esophagus conditions that would make a capsule endoscopy unsafe.
  • You are willing to sign a consent form and follow all study instructions.
