Watch ECG vs. Holter for palpitations

This trial tests whether a special smartwatch can record heart rhythm during palpitations as well as a traditional Holter monitor. If you have unexplained palpitations and are willing to wear the watch, your participation could help doctors find better ways to diagnose heart rhythm issues.

Who can take part

  • You are seeing a doctor or going to the ER because of heart palpitations (a fast or fluttering feeling in your chest).
  • You do not already have a known heart rhythm problem that explains your symptoms.
  • You are willing to wear a research watch all the time, except when it's charging.
  • You have a personal smartphone that can run the Health Mate app and has internet access.
  • You do not have a pacemaker, ICD, or other heart device already implanted.
