Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and are the main caregiver for the child.
  • The child is 4 to 17 years old.
  • The child's body mass index (BMI) is at or above the 85th percentile (considered overweight or obese).
  • The child has a doctor's diagnosis of asthma or reactive airway disease.
  • The child does not have anorexia nervosa (an eating disorder), is not pregnant, and you do not plan to switch their doctor in the next year.
  • No other child from your family is already enrolled in this trial.
