This trial tests whether taking a daily cholesterol-lowering medication (Vytorin or ezetimibe) can boost your immune system to help fight prostate cancer. It is for men with low- or intermediate-risk prostate cancer who are on active surveillance and planning a biopsy.

Who can take part
- You have low- or intermediate-risk prostate cancer (PSA ≤ 20, stage T1c or T2, Gleason 3+3 to 4+3).
- You are on active surveillance and scheduled for a follow-up biopsy.
- You have not had any prior treatment for prostate cancer (like radiation, chemo, or hormone therapy).
- You have at least one heart disease risk factor, such as age 50+, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking history, or family history of heart disease.
- You can take a pill once a day and avoid drinking more than about a quart of grapefruit juice during the study.
- You are not currently taking medications that interact with statins or ezetimibe, and have not had muscle pain from statins before.
