Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have at least one dental implant that has been in place for at least one year.
- The gum around the implant is red, swollen, or bleeding (a sign of mucositis).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You do not have a serious medical condition that affects your gums or overall health (like uncontrolled diabetes, cancer, HIV, hepatitis, heart disease, bleeding disorder, or severe osteoporosis).
- You have not taken antibiotics, corticosteroids, or immune-suppressing drugs in the last 3 months, and you don't regularly take anti-inflammatory drugs or need antibiotics before dental procedures.
