Who can take part
- You have advanced liver disease (cirrhosis) and are critically ill in the liver ICU.
- You have recently developed a new gut paralysis—meaning your stomach or intestines have stopped working, causing bloating and trouble feeding (for example, tube feeding volume over 500 ml).
- You must NOT have a recent bleeding event in your stomach or intestines.
- You must NOT have asthma, wheezing, or a very slow heart rate.
- You must NOT have a history of abdominal surgery, a blocked bowel, or other serious heart, lung, brain, or thyroid conditions.
