New imaging test for breast lumps using sound and light

Breast Cancer Female

Part of Cancer, Skin clinical trials.

This study tests a new kind of imaging that uses sound waves and light to tell if a breast lump is benign (not cancer) or malignant (cancer). It could help avoid unnecessary biopsies.

NCT04050423Recruiting
Ultrasound scans to better study breast lumps

This study tests whether special ultrasound pictures and “spectroscopy” measurements can help characterize breast masses that may be cancer. It may help doctors tell more about what a lump is and guide next steps.

NCT06908291Recruiting
Photoacoustic imaging test for breast nodules and chemo response

This study uses a new imaging technique that combines light and sound to examine breast lumps. It may help doctors diagnose breast cancer, determine its type, and see how well chemotherapy is working.

NCT04428528Recruiting
Ultrasound-like pictures that track breast tumors during chemotherapy

This study uses a special light-based imaging scan to learn more about breast masses and how tumors may respond to chemotherapy before surgery. The scan is meant to help doctors better characterize tumors and potentially track treatment response.

Optical breast imaging study for tumors larger than 1 cm

This trial uses a special light-based imaging device to look at breast tumors. It's for people with breast lumps bigger than 1 cm who can understand Swedish and haven't had breast surgery or chemotherapy before.

3D ultrasound imaging for women with a breast lump

This study tests how well a new 3D ultrasound method can “see” a solid breast lump that is being biopsied. It may help doctors get clearer images to guide diagnosis, especially alongside a standard biopsy.
