- You are a woman aged 18 or older
- You have been referred to the breast clinic for a possible breast lump or other concern
- You are not currently on chemotherapy
- You have no nipple discharge, breast ulcers, open wounds, or infection (mastitis)
- You are not pregnant, and you don't have any skin piercings on your breasts that cannot be removed
- You are not using certain medications that make your skin sensitive to light (e.g., some antibiotics)
