Oxytocin use during D&C for early miscarriage

Missed Abortion

Treatments studied

Part of Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This trial tests whether giving oxytocin during a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure for a first-trimester miscarriage helps reduce bleeding and other complications. Oxytocin is a medicine that helps the uterus contract, which may make the procedure safer and more effective.
