A new way to create a catheter passage for children

Who can take part

  • Your child has a bladder that doesn't work normally (neurogenic bladder).
  • Your child cannot use the usual tube (urethra) for catheterization, or it's uncomfortable.
  • Your child needs surgery to close or rebuild the bladder outlet to stay dry.
  • Your child has been diagnosed with urethral valves, prune belly syndrome, or bladder exstrophy.
  • Your child has not had the traditional Mitrofanoff procedure before.
