  • Your child is between 6 and 12 years old.
  • This is your child's first planned (non-emergency) heart catheterization.
  • Your child does not have a developmental delay or learning disability.
  • Your child does not have major hearing or vision problems.
  • Your child is not in critical health or needing intensive care before the procedure.
  • Your child does not have a bleeding disorder.
