This study follows up with people who already took part in a trauma study, to see how resilience (the ability to recover) develops over time. It involves an MRI brain scan to look for changes in the brain related to coping with trauma.

Who can take part

  • You took part in the earlier study after a traumatic event
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • You can read and understand Hebrew
  • You do not have metal in your body that can't be removed (like certain implants) or severe claustrophobia
  • You have not been diagnosed with substance abuse, a psychotic disorder, or bipolar I disorder
  • You have never had a head injury with a coma lasting more than 30 minutes, or any lasting brain damage from a head injury
