Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been on a breathing tube and ventilator for more than 2 days with a humidifier for at least 24 hours.
  • You are deeply sedated (RASS score between -3 and -5).
  • You do not have serious heart, lung, or brain instability.
  • You are not pregnant, do not have an active lung infection like tuberculosis, and have not had recent heart or chest surgery.
