If you have mild to moderate retinal disease and are ready for cataract surgery in both eyes, this study may help you see well at multiple distances.

Who can take part
- You must be planning cataract surgery in both eyes.
- Your vision with glasses or contacts in the eye(s) having surgery must be 20/30 or better (fairly good vision).
- You must have a retinal condition (like macular degeneration or diabetic eye disease) but it should not be the most severe type.
- You cannot have certain eye problems like severe dry eye, lazy eye, or past eye surgeries like cataract, LASIK, or corneal transplant.
- The lens power needed must be between +5.0 and +34.0 diopters, and no more than 3.75 diopters of astigmatism correction.
