Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 30.
  • You are in good general health (ASA class I, II, or III).
  • Your lung tumor is small and has not spread far (stage T2 or lower, N1 or lower, M0).
  • You are scheduled for lung surgery using a tiny camera (VATS).
  • You have not had chemotherapy or lung surgery before, and you don't have a chronic cough or certain heart rhythm problems.
