Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 45 years old
- You have endometriosis in multiple areas (surface, deep, or cysts) and need surgery for pain or infertility
- OR you do not have endometriosis and are having surgery for tubal ligation or hysterectomy for a non-cancer, non-endometriosis reason
- You have not taken any hormonal treatments (like birth control pills or hormone shots) in the last 2 months
- Your surgery is scheduled during your menstrual period
- You do not have HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HTLV, and are not under legal guardianship
