Comparing two PET tracers for recurrent MTC

Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma

This study compares a new imaging agent called 68Ga-MGS5 with the standard agent 68Ga-DOTATATE to see which one better detects recurrent medullary thyroid carcinoma on a PET/CT scan. The goal is to improve tumor detection in people whose MTC has returned.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC).
  • Your MTC has come back after treatment (recurrence).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding (if applicable).
  • You are not severely claustrophobic and can undergo a PET/CT scan.
