Skin-to-skin incubator trial for tiny preterm babies

Who can take part

  • Your baby was born early and weighs less than 1.5 kg (about 3.3 pounds).
  • Your baby needs help breathing (respiratory support).
  • Your baby is cared for in an incubator with humidity at 60% or higher.
  • Your baby does not have a serious heart problem, chest tube, major birth defects, or need surgery.
  • You are able to hold your baby skin-to-skin for long periods.
