Who can take part
- You are a woman 22 years old or older.
- This is your first breast reconstruction after a mastectomy (not a revision of a previous implant or lift).
- You are having a mastectomy (for breast cancer or to reduce risk) and plan to have immediate, two-stage implant-based reconstruction (under or over the chest muscle).
- You have not had radiation therapy to the breast or chest area.
- You have not smoked or used nicotine products in the last 90 days, and your BMI is 35 or less.
- You are not pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
