  • You are between 18 and 79 years old.
  • Your overall health is good or moderately controlled (anesthesia risk grades 1 to 3).
  • You are scheduled for brain surgery that uses a head frame with pins.
  • You are not allergic to the medicines alfentanil or propofol.
  • Your surgery is planned, not an emergency.
