Who can take part
- You must be between 18 and 79 years old.
- You are scheduled for brain surgery that uses a head frame to hold your skull in place.
- You must be in good enough health for surgery (rated ASA I, II, or III).
- You must not be allergic to dexmedetomidine, propofol, or remifentanil.
- Your heart rate must be at least 40 beats per minute and your blood pressure not too low or too high.
- You cannot be having emergency surgery.
